www.oursportscentral.com/services/releases/?id=4145515Barre, VT. - Go Heaves, Inc. announced on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 that it is ceasing operations immediately. The organization charged with managing the Vermont Frost Heaves has not been able to keep pace with expenses. "We've worked hard to bring in revenue from a variety of sources, but have not been able to match expenses with revenue," stated Don Mandelkorn, general manager. "This decision was not made lightly and was done so only after much effort to try to bring things in balance," added Mandelkorn. "I know this decision will result in a lot of disappointment among our fans and supporters. We have appreciated the support from fans and local businesses, but with overall cash sponsorships down and ticket sales flat, we simply could not meet expenses and cannot function any longer." Players will be eligible for a special Premier Basketball League draft on Thursday, January 27, 2011.
