Former Rival Dwight Brewington Joins Heaves 6'5'' Small Forward Dwight Brewington is set to join the Vermont Frost Heaves for the 2010 season. Dwight is no stranger to the PBL or the Vermont Frost Heaves. Most will recognize Dwight as a member of the arch rival Manchester Millrats. Our staff recognizes Brewington as a guy who can absolutely score from the wing. There is no doubt that he posed some problems for us last season. Dwights tenacious style, and relentless desire to get into the lane always got out attention.
Dwight averaged just under 17 ppg last season for Manchester. Brewingtons scoring ability, and the way he scores the ball makes him a nice fit with our team. Dwight puts a lot of pressure on opposing defenses. While he definitely has the ability to shoot the deep ball, his intent is to get into the paint and make things happen. Often, he is picking up fouls on opposing defenders and scoring from the free throw line. There is nothing Dwight has not seen or a challenge he has not faced before in the PBL.
Brewington will be another veteran piece with this team. He will undoubtedly raise the level of competetiveness every day with the Frost Heaves. We surely look forward to Dwight wearing the blue and white of the Vermont Frost Heaves. Posted by Nick Foster at 1:13 PM
