I still think it's unfair to have a team owner with this kind of position. Levingston could be good for the league though. Maybe he will make things happen.

The Premier Basketball League is pleased to announce that Halifax Rainmen General Manager / President Andre Levingston has been named as the new President of the PBL, effective immediately.
"We couldn't be more thrilled to have Andre on board as President of the League," said Severko Hrywnak, M.D., Chairman of the Premier Basketball League.\\"Andre's experience, tenacity and love of the sport will truly serve the league well. We are confident the PBL will thrive under his leadership."
Levingston established the Halifax Rainmen in May of 2006, and the team and its fans have continued to grow every season. Levingston will remain as President and General Manager of the Rainmen during his tenure as President of the PBL.\\"I want to take what I have learned about what works and what doesn't," said Levingston, "and translate that into improving the league operations so that every team will benefit equally."
Levingston will not relocate his office, he will continue to expand the league throughout North America, and operate league business through a satellite office in Halifax, N.S.\\"I can't wait to get started, I believe this is a positive move for me, the Rainmen and all teams and players in the PBL"

....and now, he is out... thechronicleherald.ca/Sports/1200703.htmlThree months into the job, Andre Levingston has resigned as president of the Premier Basketball League. The owner of the Halifax Rainmen cited professional differences for the resignation. He also held the title of director of Canadian expansions with the league. "It has become clear to me that my vision for the league and that of … league owners were very different," Levingston said in a news release on Tuesday. "I felt I was not given the proper tools in which to conduct business in the way I felt was best." The 45-year-old Detroit native was hired as league president in early June. He replaced Tom Doyle, who had been acting as both president and commissioner of the PBL, which will begin its fourth season thiswinter. At that time, Levingston had already been working closely with the league as its director of Canadian business development and played a major role in the relocation of the Manchester Millrats to Saint John, N.B. Levingston, who established the Rainmen in May 2006 and also serves as the team’s general manager, said he will focus his efforts on building the club’s fan base and scouting players for the coming season. "The PBL is still a great league with lots of potential and the Rainmen are proud to be part of that organization," said Levingston, who operated his league business out of his Halifax office. "I have no hard feelings," he said of his resignation. "I am just ready to move on."
