Demasi, Rice - Fans Choice to be Frost Heave All Stars

Barre VT - The Vermont Frost Heaves are pleased to announce that their All Star representatives for the 2010 Premier Basketball League All Star game will be Ross Demasi and Dwuan Rice.
The All Star game will be played in Halifax, Nova Scotia on May 1, 2010. Ross Demasi was the Frost Heaves leading vote getter as selected by the fans. In a close race for the second spot, Dwuan Rice edged out Marshall Brown by one vote.
Demasi has led the Frost Heaves all season in minutes played with an average of 33 minutes, 11 seconds per game and is shooting 52% from the field and 41% from behind the 3 point arc. Ross is also averaging 9 rebounds per game and is 6th in the league in that category. Dwuan Rice is averaging 29 minutes, 36 seconds played per game and is shooting 46% from the field and 35% from beyond the 3 point arc. He is also averaging 6 assists per game which puts him 3rd in the league for assists per game and is averaging 4 rebounds per game.
WEEKEND RECAP
Vermont traveled to Maryland for 2 games against the Greenhawks and came back to Vermont with 2 more wins under their belt. The Frost Heaves record now goes to 9 - 7 with some key games coming up.
In Friday nights match against the Greenhawks, the Frost Heaves defeated the Greenhawks 131 - 102. Marshall Brown led 6 Frost Heaves in double figures with 30 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists. Jeral Davis added 23 points with 13 rebounds and 5 blocks. Juwan Bailey added 20 points followed by Aaron Cook with 14 and Ross Demasi and Matt Hall with 10 points each.
In Saturday's rematch, Marshall Brown set a Vermont single game soring record by putting up 42 points, with 8 rebounds and 3 assists as the Frost Heaves defeated Maryland 125 - 121. Juwan Bailey added 20 points and 15 rebounds. Dwuan Rice and Jeral Davis each added 16 points and Ross Demasi chipped in with 13 points. Maryland was led in scoring by Scooter Sherrill with 32 points.
