South Burlington, VT – The Vermont Frost Heaves are pleased to announce the signing of guard Aaron Cook. The 6’2” guard will report to Vermont the weekend of December 12, 2009.
Cook was a member of the inaugural Frost Heaves team in 2006/2007 where he led the team in scoring, averaging 16.3 points per game. He was the leagues 3-point shooting contest winner and was selected to the Top 25 Minor League Players Honorable Mention list. “We are all excited to have Aaron back in the fold for the upcoming season” states GM Michael Healey. “He has been an all-star everywhere he has played and is experience, shooting ability, and defensive play are outstanding, and he makes everyone around him better”. Last season Cook played in Sweden in the Gothia Basket League. He averaged 13 points per game, and 5 assists per game. In 2007/2008 cook was a member of the Butte Daredevils of the CBA where he averaged 13.7 points per game, 6.4 assist per game (2nd in league), and shot 44.4% from beyond the three point line.
