Barre, VT – The Vermont Frost Heaves have added 6’10” Froward/Center Derrick Franklin. Franklin last played for Inter-Clube de Luanda in Angola and was a member of their starting five. He has been a member of the All-Eurobasket Summer League in Las Vegas Team in 2008 and was named to the Eurobasket Summer League in Las Vegas All-Big Men Team in 2008. He is a native of Chicago, Illinois and graduated from Columbus State in 2005.
To make room on their 12-man roster for Franklin the Frost Heaves have released Troy Jackson.

Sounds like it's "more than just "one bad game"". I too am sad to see management and coaching ins such disarray. I've been reading about the lack of "team-coordinated play" (that's the coach's responsibility) and now we're losing Troy. Dog, is there more to tell? Drunkeness, over-slept, late for practice???

I don't think management and the coaching are in "disarray" at all. Every year, there are comings and goings. The PBL allows for up to 10 moves, I think, and we haven't reached that many. I don't want to go negative about any players, but when a guy is missing his first 7 shots, then it's time to stop shooting and start passing. When a starter has to come out, his job is to support the next guy and the rest of the guys on the floor, and not sit on the bench arguing, whining or punching chairs.
Everybody has a role to play no matter whether they're on the floor or not. I'm guessing these are basketball decisions, pure and simple, and decisions intended to be best for the team.
See ya in the stands on Sunday!!!

Ok. I did wonder what "more" meant. I think "team-ness" is the player's responsibility to do and the coach's responsibility to instill. So, I wonder if coaching is remiss?
