South Burlington, VT - The Vermont Frost Heaves are pleased to announce the signing of former Frost Heave Marcus Austin. He was an integral part of Vermont's first two seasons and has agreed to a one-year contract for the Frost Heaves 2010 Premier Basketball League Season.
"First and foremost we are excited to have a Frost Heave favorite back with us," states Head Coach Jeff Strohm. "Markus is a committed, physical, competitive defender who enjoys the challenge of guarding the best 2, 3 and 4 man on the other team. He impressed the coaches with his attitude, care and concern for others, and a highly competitive nature at our tryout camp. He came to camp with a humble and hungry attitude that was quite refreshing to see."
Austin joins first round Ken Ottrix on the roster and will report to Vermont on December 12, 2009. Training camp begins Monday December 14, 2009.

It's always good to see a familiar face on the court. I look forward to watching his gritty defense again.
